In 1897, students produced a University of Arkansas yearbook for the first time. The book was called The Cardinal, named after the school colors. However, when the university adopted a mascot, the book’s name changed to the Razorback.
Besides the name change, the book has evolved over the years. Becoming more colorful, larger, and longer but also maintaining their status as a student-produced historical document.
